On December 19, at team of 10 skydivers attempted to set the Guinness World Record for fastest test messaging while skydiving. The team used five different Samsung Mobile messaging phones with full QWERTY keyboards. The challange was captured in the air with two aerial videographers plus two more cameras on the ground.The entire team took two jumps and landed safely. Samsung Mobile is sending the videot o Guinness judges to determine if the record was sent and they expect confirmation in the coming months.
Phones used include: Samsung Propel, Samsung Alias, Samsung Gravity, Samsung Rant and Samsung Messager.

Samsung Mobile joined Sprint, Intel and other partners of the Mobile WiMAX ecosystem in Baltimore on October 8 to celebrate the first official citywide launch of WiMAX in the U.S. Samsung Electronics SVP WS Kim helped Sprint CEO Dan Hesse and Intel CTO Sean Maloney in the ceremonial “cutting of the cord” at the ceremony. The launch event also included live demonstrations of Mobile WiMAX embedded laptops and PC cards onboard water taxis and buses. Baltimore will soon be joined by Washington DC, Dallas/Fort Worth and New York City as major metropolitan areas operating on Mobile WiMAX technology.
