Dallas-based Samsung Telecommunications America (Samsung Mobile) was selected as the 2008 “Corporate Horizon” Award winner at the 7th annual Metroplex Technology Business Council (MTBC) Tech Titans Awards. The award honors the company that contributes best-in-class technology and corporate citizenship within the North Texas technology community. Other finalists for the Corporate Horizon award included Eltek Valere, GENBAND and InnerWireless, Inc. President Dale Sohn accepted the award on behalf of Samsung Mobile.

Samsung Mobile was named as an award finalist based on its recent innovations, including the Samsung Instinct™ touch screen phone and the fourth generation network technology called Mobile WiMAX. Samsung Mobile was also commended for its good works in the North Texas community, including its support of Habitat for Humanity and several local education and science organizations.
